What we do in Belgium

Aniké is not only active in Guinea, the organization is a player in Belgium too. Our projects in Africa need to be financed and that is why fundraising and collecting medical equipment are a few of our top priorities as well. We also want to inform people. About the situation in Guinea and what it is exactly our organization is doing there. We attach great importance to transparency.

LECTURES

The members of Aniké regularly organise meetings to provide information about the challenges Guinea is facing and what can be done to improve the lives of women and children there. Our audience is quite diverse and ranges from everybody who is interested to students, people with a medical background and service clubs, who are considering to contribute to our work in Africa.

SENSIBILISATION

Aniké composed a small, colourful exhibition about Guinea and the projects it supports there. It can often be seen on markets and during activities of the organisation. It tells everybody a little bit more about what we are doing in Africa and offers small local and traditional African objects for sale. Where you can meet us? The organic market in Oost-Eeklo for instance, the Brussels community of Sint-Joost and Mabatobato in Waregem.

FUNDRAISers

From time to time Aniké also organizes fundraisers for its projects in Guinea. We already organized African dinners with a fashion show, music and a party at De Centrale in Ghent and Brew Dog Bar in Brussels and cozy brunches in Theaterzaal Ledeberg and DeVierdeZaal in Gentbrugge. What an enthusiasm every time!

FUNDRAISers organised BY SYMPATHIZERS

Sometimes sympathizers organize an activity or a fundraiser to collect money for Aniké. Everyone does that in their own way. For example: the Christmas tree sale by the De Grande family in Waarmaarde; the cuddle campaign by the students of the language institute Languages4Results in Antwerp and countless donations from brand new parents who transferred (part of) the money they received for the birth of their children to our organization.
